I read the light novel before these Audiobooks came out but I still purchase the audiobook because I enjoy listening to Jeff Hays narrate this series. He does a great job with the performance and you can tell he puts a lot of energy into this series. I can’t wait until the next book.

It’s not a grand fantasy tale or anything but it’s a decent listen. The takedown and criticism of the Cultivation genre is interesting but honestly the weakest part of the book as Beware of Chicken does it much better. I look forward to seeing how this develops as a series.

Honest, the acting is absolutely on point. However, if I was reading this book I would have never finished it due to the questionable quality of the writing. There is a lot of showing and poorly worded chunks that are mostly smoothed over by the voice actors.

The story is really good and I love the main character. However, they constantly say back when that happened, but it’s the first your hearing about it. Couldn’t put down, not a typical book read. Great story and characters, unique and unexpected events with the right amount of humor blended together like a Carl Cocktail.Exciting for someone like me that loves RPGs, adventure, and mysterious universe.
