I love unique stories with a non human protagonist and this series delivers with the punny title lovable characters and voice actors to really make this a thumping good listen from start to finish, Can’t wait for the third to be available for pre-order!
Not enough action, the pacing is off and he weirdly focused on cultural and gender issues rather than adventure. Not sure how I’m supposed to get immersed in Ludus while drowning in real world references.

The series is well thought out, characters are well developed with PLENTY of room to grow, and the narration is top notch. Jeff Hays is a one man Graphic Audio studio. down side? Matt Dinniman has a lot of projects, and the books are released slower than most series. I just relisten to them once..

This book is one of the better monster MC books out there. Incredibly entertaining, VA’s completely match the level of emotion needed, and the book is paced incredibly well and does not rush into everything. Lets you keep up to speed on things. Ignore the reviews from simple people and just enjoy yourself.
