It’s rare that we get LitRPG with a non-humanoid protagonist! And being an ant monster among men is certainly an interesting premise, unfortunately the execution of this intriguing idea falls a little flat on its face in Chrysalis. Especially towards the ending of the story when the involvement of the humans is completely dropped entirely…

I have currently binged this serious up to book 5 and it is one of my new Favorit! The Setting is totally obscure and usually causes a big positive WTF. It hits the sweet spot of strange, funny and reasonable. The Characters are great, lovable, funny and believable. It is on the same high level..

I like it and it went quick. will be greeting thr next. Seems to be a very dark version of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and running man mixed with an everquest video game. I would not think I would have liked that….but I did.

This litrpg is very challenging to get through. I could not get past the first few chapters. It feels like it is for YA children instead of Adults over 30. Very disappointing.
Humor is included in the book but it doesn’t try too hard and actually nails it. Nor does it rely solely on the humor as the story and progression are both satisfying.
I don’t know how I stumbled across this book series but I’m so glad I did. It keeps me laughing with the jokes (crude and not) and the writers are so much more creative than I will ever be. The storyline isn’t predictable and keeps the reader on their toes. Not a book for people..
