A great concept that was a little lacking in character development. Semi-spoiler alert: the ending has more than a hint of Deus Ex Machina. An enjoyable listen none the less.
The book and entire series is so great. Was never really into LitRPG, but this changed my mind. Love a story that can make you laugh, feel, cringe, and move to the edge of your seat. Amazing voice acting and writing I can’t imagine a better Carl voice. Please write more, more quickly! 🙂
the whole series is great. I was skeptical about the whole vr thing but I’m happy I gave this a shot. Jeff Hays does a great job on this series
The bard series just gets better & better every book. The world of Ion heats up in this installment. Highly recommend this series for LitRPG fans.
It doesn’t matter how many of these kinds of books that are popping up now, this one is worth the listen as does not pull any punches with its narrative, language or humour. Very entertaining.
Like Book 1, an enjoyable story if one can accept the many, many, many escapes when facing overwhelming odds and lots of goofy dialogue.
characters are interesting and well written. plot is amusing and keeps you engaged. and the performance of the audio cast is top shelf. seriously everyone that has something to do with this series is amazing!! do yourself a favor and pick these books up!
