Would have been 5 stars but the trains were just too damn confusing. It had a good mix of plot progression, litrpg, and character building.

The other reviews say a lot of great things I agree with. What they don’t mention is that Jeff Hays goes OFF in his performance in this book. It’s actually insane.

I liked the storyline and thought it was a new take on the genre. unfortunately I never felt any connection with any character.

dungeon crawler carl is awesome! dark, happy, sad, witty. everything you want in a book and the audio book version is super well done!

The characters use profanity constantly and casually. Even the artificial intelligence running the dungeon tries to out swear the main character, a former sailor with the Coast Guard. Everything about this book is pretty good. except for excessive multiple povs that break story flow and immersion and do nothing but pad word count stats. Multiple times theres are multiple povs covering the exact same scenes, offering nothing new or interesting. just rereading the same stuff in different words. I sincerely hope this is..
