I like the author, and it’s a fun story if you like ridiculousness mixed with a tense death-defying sci-fi Isekai adventure. However, the sound effects are annoying and I wish they’d stop.

Worth the credit purely for Donuts cover of Wonderwall, the rest is good too.

The plot is interesting enough to listen to while at work. but man, princess donut has got to be one of the most annoying characters in fiction. It is like Karen Murphy from Dresden Files, but somehow even more obnoxious and annoying. I’ll give the next book a read but man, I hope donut dies.

Great LITRPG, Good amount of “mature” humor and wacky action. Ya this is gonna be a binge for sure.

The Greco-Roman setting is refreshing. The bromance and vitriolic best buds dynamic is well-done, both leads are fun in their scenes together, they are great foils. Try this if you want a fantasy epic with a strong focus on friendship.

I’m really beginning to choose my audiobooks based on what Jeff Hayes narrates. Matt Dinniman is awesome, and this is a fantastic series – but I never would have found it if it hadn’t been narrated by Jeff Hayes, and – truthfully – I don’t know if I would have enjoyed it nearly as much..

Loved this book. Not usually a fan of Lit rpg but this book really drew me in. Lots of laugh out loud moments and great characters. The narrator was awesome.
