Takes the basic premise of “Overlord” but fixes a bunch of the problems inherent in the story.
A better version of “Overlord”

Amazing voice work as you always get from Jeff Hayes but the story was a hilarious ride! It’s lighter on the game mechanics than most but that fits the story well. The humor is great!
absolutely an entertaining ride with great characters a lively world and a system that makes sense and is fun to listen to
I absolutely love this series, both the physical copies and the audible. The world, descriptions, character building, and narration from Carl’s perspective are a breath of fresh air. It definitely gets a little frustrating with some of the party’s antics, but that’s nothing new. Honestly if you’ve been reading the others, then you definitely need..
And a decent storyline. I’d say in general it’s worth a try and it may grow on me, though I won’t jump into the next book right away. I need to digest this one a bit!
The excitement and amazement for each book has been great until this one. It’s dwelled too long on being the girl that has been well established in previous books. it’s to the point it has been overdone. I want the mimic adventures back, not the animal girl.

I made it through the first book, but couldn’t stomach more than 10 minutes of the second book. it’s just bad.
Quite a different kind of main character. Very fun read… especially if you like good bad guys and cheesy puns.
