If you like tabletop fantasy games, sci-fi and just laughing your ass off, you’ll really enjoy Dungeon Crawler Carl. The story is engaging and the performance by Jeff Hays is second to none.
I always have one SMH moment that I have to take a break from the book for, but when I return it’s always resolved well enough for me to finish without much issue. A riot from start to finish!

Not sure why anyone complains about the second book, it’s not like the stakes are high, it’s a VR/AR LitRPG story. This one was more focused on the semi harem romances happening and frankly Cooper did a good job with it, it’s actually believable for the most part and I’ve actually known men and women..
I *wanted* this book to be awesome. It’s a great deal, with an excellent narrator (who does a great job). But… The book needs severe polish. The pacing is awful. Exposition is dumped heavy-handedly. Odd systems and weird intro in the the world. There is a little weakness to the plot that ties Ed’s earth with the world and some the action seems a little trite imo. Still overall it was fun enough and I’d like his abilities to build. I would be interested to see where it goes.
he keeps harping on the romantic part between 4 people and once you get about it over and over again your about into book 3 and you can’t even stand the story anymore because of the romance crap in the books
