Not sure why anyone complains about the second book, it’s not like the stakes are high, it’s a VR/AR LitRPG story. This one was more focused on the semi harem romances happening and frankly Cooper did a good job with it, it’s actually believable for the most part and I’ve actually known men and women..
I *wanted* this book to be awesome. It’s a great deal, with an excellent narrator (who does a great job). But… The book needs severe polish. The pacing is awful. Exposition is dumped heavy-handedly. Things that should have impact, such as the special items the main character has collected, simply do not. The various levels..
