both funny and well written, you never forget the death race/survivor/Bear Grylls type adventure Carl and donut are in. world ending calamity? check. fleshed out characters? check? cool power and ability progression? check? fracking hysterical anthropomorphic mobs? check. worth reading and looking forward to the next installment!

Jeff delivers another banger of a performance. I loved the finale of the book and the banter between vic and oren is always good. the system messages voice is the best, when I hear system messages now, if it doesn’t sound like the way he does it, I don’t like it! TW torture.
it was a little iffy in the very beginning of book 1 from how it was using “gamer” lingo but stuck it out here I am just finished all 3. absolutely fantastic.

Guardians of the Galaxy in novel form. Absurd and distastefully marvellous. Middle section was slow. Latter section of book was well done. Characters are developed in a way that is endearing. The sex doll head is a hilarious comic relief I just can’t stop giggling about.

just like the previous novels, this one is one of the best of books I have over listened/ read.
