the story is akin to the movie running man and it’s like in books (hunger games, red rising, etc ). it’s fun and gets more complex at a relaxing pace. the real stand out here is the narrator. holy smokes! he seems to show more of his talent as the series progresses, as well.

Keeping it short and sweet, this book/series is basically Everybody Loves Large Chests (ELLC) but with Boxy as the homicidal sidekick instead of the MC. I am enjoying these as much as I did the Hard Luck Hank series by another author.

I don’t leave comments too often, but I felt like this deserved one. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I did think the pace was a little too slow at points. I always love the combat in these books. It brings me back to Final Fantasy 7.

Humor done right. Balanced and relatable. This book series should be in everyone’s library. Check it out and see for yourself.
