My expectations were very low when picking this book. I am literally astonished how great the listening experience is for this book. The writing, the story, the narration is all great. I don’t usually write reviews, but this audiobook was hitting on all cylinders. The Land is one of my favorite series ever, but this series has slowly overtook its place. Keep up the good work, that is also for you too Jeff Hays.

I was worried it wouldnt be as good… IT WAS GREAT! Slightly slow start… had to get used to the main character’s accent and the fact that it was told from a first person perspective, unlike the other books in the Ludus series. RECOMMEND if you loved the other ones.
Dungeon Crawler Carl is a genre defining series. It quite honestly does not get better than this. This is book 5, if you read the other four you know what you’re getting into but this has got to be one of the best books in the series so far. I absolutely loved it!

If you are a fan, this has everything you want. If you’ve made it through the other four books you know what to expect in terms of what kind of story this is. But you don’t know what to expect from the story at all!!! This was a fun and awesome ride!!!

I was excited to listen to this book because of all the great reviews, but was pretty disappointed through most of the book. The first have was so slow and the performance was fat below the standards set by Sound Booth Theater. It did get better near the end of the book, which I’m glad..
