This is such a fun and exciting series! The story is better and better each book release. I’m immediately moving onto the next!
I have listened to things like “The Land” “Everybody Loves Large Chests” “Biomancer” and “He Who’s Fights With Monsters” … and I’m not sure how my list would go anymore. This first book was amazing and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the series.
The world building, character development, and overall tone was spot on for a Dungeon Crawler form of entertainment. Having played D&D along with countless video game RPGs myself, the level of detail in the leveling and inventory system was so well told and easy to understand. such a fun listen. The admittedly the plot sometimes misses for me. other times though it hits really hard and there’s some great moments and surprises. but right now the characters the fun dialogue and the excellent performance are pulling me through. looking to see this continue to improve has been moved along.
Loved the storyline. Can’t wait for the next book! It built on the last one and left you wanting more.
Good characters and plot with so much potential. The voice actors really brought the story to life (audible)
Not an audible listener usually, but my partner suggested this to me and I loved it. I’m usually to ADD to read books, but this was great. It really needs to be turned into an anime on Hulu or Crunchyroll.
This is my favorite book of definitely my top three favorite book series of all time. The way it introduces the reader into allowing Carl and Team to have multiple outside sources for knowledge helps develop the story better than if it was just him trying to figure everything out himself.
Not bad, lots of monologue that got kinda boring but an interesting story overall. I would check out another book in the series.
The description is very misleading it doesn’t accurately describe the story. whoever wrote the description didn’t read the book.
