This is my first re-read in 3 months! I love Carl and Princess Donut!
Fantastic!
Review from Dungeon Crawler Carl →
HILARIOUS! Narrator did great and the story had me engaged from the start. Definitely not for children. Previous adventuring experience not required.
Great story of a timeless alien invasion and the hero’s within. You’ll be hooked from book one onward and impatiently waiting for the next to be released. Great job to the writer, narrator and team who put this together. One of my new favorites.
Full stop, I despise litrpgs. I think it’s just so shoehorned in and terribly cringe. Sure, I enjoy a fun story or two but NONE of them compared to this book. This book has proven to me that a litrpg can actually be great. it’s funny, charming, and so damn entertaining. the litrpg element isn’t..
This is one of the best series in the many audio book series I’ve listened too. The story and the narrating is 10/10. Some book series in this genre tend to get dark and depressing in the middle of their story lines. Not this one. Every book is fun to listen too.
I have been a fan of Zero ever since my friend told me to read it. I liked the first audio version of the book. But the narrating from Jeff Hays is so much better. I have heard one other book he narrated, and knew he was good. So I expected good things from him…
I really loved the book when I originally read it. Jeff Hays did such a good job, I was completely swept up in the characters all over. And decided to reread the whole series from the beginning!
This is a great LitRPG! If you are looking for a fun and clean experience, this is it. It pulls from a lot of familiar video games but doesn’t delve into info dumps like certain bestselling 80s fan service bestsellers.
It’s a slow burn & the MC is too cool for school sometimes about some game tropes but besides thoughs moments it’s pretty good. MC has some past trama and when he has to deal with it it’s ok to kinda plz shut up. Maybe that’s too hard but I usually felt the book was..
