First, let me say that Jeff Hayes gave his usual impeccable performance. He is the anchor (talent-wise) that holds SBT together. They have some other decent narrators, but when I listen to SBT audiobooks that don’t include Hayes in the cast I regularly find myself wishing that he were the one narrating. On to the..
I needed something uplifting and this book delivered. The story is really good and captivating while being downright hilarious. I already bought books 2-4 and excited to make my way through them.
Narration: I highly recommend the audiobook because the narrator is amazing! Jeff Hays had me laughing out loud almost the entire time. His voices were all unique and fit the characters and his comedic timing is perfect. I plan to check out more books narrated by him. Story: I gave this book a chance because..
I loved the Immortals series so much I decided to give another series by Kurtis Eckstein a chance. Turns out I don’t like the Immortals series, I just Kurtis Eckstein’s book. Keep writing and I will keep buying.
The main chapter lacks any form emotional depth. The writing around his backstory and history is distractingly poorly written.

I loved the first two books in the series, but this one misses the mark. The storyline is complicated and to be honest, not very interesting. There is too little focus on building the characters and their attributes. Instead, we go through a seemingly endless pursuit trying to figure out what’s going on the floor…
What a great book! The author really has a unique situation going on in this book. This is easily one of my favorite books. He does an amazing job with the story development. As usual Jeff Hays is amazing.
