I bought this book since I follow Jess Hays. His performance in this book is decent, however I did not enjoy his portrayal of Miller, who sounds like a constantly angry Arnold Schwarzenegger. The characters in the book are inconsistent, and unbelievable. As an example, take Miller (above). His background story is that he came..
Oh man, this book is just wrong.. In so many way’s, this story is just wrong. The authors shrink must be paid well. I laughed through nearly the entire story. I’ll be buying book 2 in a few minutes.
This story and these characters are strangely addictive. I have really enjoyed listening to Carl and Donut’s adventures. The world and dungeon setting remain interesting and I’m eager to continue with the series.
Well done. Well narrated. will be looking forward to the next from this author. The rest of this is just filler. This is more filler.
Binge listened to this in two days! Cross between Hunger games, Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy and Dungeons and Dragons! Loved it!
The story is a nice take on litrpg from a monster perspective. The writing is funny and has a nice profession to keep it entertaining throughout. What really sells it is the narration. I downloaded it because Jeff Hayes does such a good job, and I was not disappointed at all. He did an amazing..
The story is below average for the genre. Narrator is better than average. The overall rating drops due to blatantly ovwrsexualizing a story aimed at 13yr olds. Here are a few direct quoted. “Her mons pubis is completely hairless” “her Arreola were darker than he expected” etc etc etc. There is also a weird understanding..
I don’t really have much bad to say about this one. The MC is a bit OP but what litrpg doesn’t have an OP main char. Looking forward to seeing how this series matures.
