Book 2 is easily good as the first, possibly even better because of the growing undercurrent of the struggle between the dungeon AI and the corporation sponsoring the crawl. The slow maturing of Donut is fun to see and the loss of her innocence is a little sad. A fun book to listen to.

This is a dark, and Grimm lit RPG book. Too much killing. I dislike reality shows. This is the first time I’ve seen one used as a premise for a story. I am one and done with this series.
