Mostly solid sci-fi. The romantic aspects of the story are awkward. Primarily the interaction between the main two characters. I found myself eye rolling when the narration of the “tension” occurred. Actually skipped forward past those sections twice so far in the first two books. Overall the sci-fi is enjoyable enough at this point.
