I’ve listened to a ton of audiobooks in the vein of Dungeon Crawler Carl. Magic 2.0, the Bobiverse, Caverns and Creatures…all great. But this is something special. This is series is hilarious, engaging, and—at times—emotionally powerful. All incredibly well narrated. Do not skip this one.

As an initially skeptical fan of the “dungeon” stories, I expected the addition of dinosaurs to make the story a cheesy gimmick. I am glad I was wrong; it was great. Minor spoiler: A sentient velociraptor with a pet kitten is the single greatest piece of plot I have ever come across.

The voice work is amazing. It’s hard to believe there’s only one person doing all the voices. This book series is amazing. The characters are well fleshed out. Heartfelt, heartbreaking and at times hilarious. I cannot wait for the sixth book in the series.

There’s a LOT of cussing. But if that doesn’t bother you, the series is great. I’m on my second trip through it about a year apart and I still enjoy listening to this. The characters and story are good and the narrators really bring this to life.

I can’t wait for the next book. Very entertaining! These characters can find trouble with little effort, but the way they get out of these predicaments is hilarious.
