I enjoyed the book, but not enough to go on to the next one. It’s kind of mellow dramatic and simplistic with not much character development, other than the main character. There were some interesting plot lines, but somewhat oversimplistic.
Love Jeff Hays as the narrator. He gave Carl a Kronk, from emperors new groove, vibe. I can’t wait for more.
A series I never thought I’d be into has become beloved. I haven’t been able to put these books down. This title is as good as the rest and even better when you consider the complexity of the story, the characters, and the emotions they evoke. Well done, Matt Dinniman!
The narration and story were amazing! The cast did a beautiful job bringing the tale to life. My only complaint was the outro music on chapter 39 was far too loud, but other than that one instance the music led great ambiance to the story making it feel immersive and wonderful.
Jeff Hays is wildly talented and brings the novel to life in a way I wasn’t expecting, but love. I definitely will be purchasing audiobook 2 to continue the story.
My best friend introduced me to Dungeon Crawler Carl on a road trip a few months ago. I was enamored. Made it through all seven audiobooks, and had the eighth preordered, in a few short months. I couldn’t wait to get into more of Matt’s works. His world building is incredible, and I really loved..
