I tend to like litrpg that doesn’t involve an online mmorpg. This post apocalyptic setting is fantastic and I’m glad I waited to read this series. This has been one of the best books I’ve found. Great job Jeff Hays!

Usually books like this start with someone getting stuck in the game but in this one it shows the characters need for redemption and vengeance and has a psychological aspect with some similarities to the bobiverse series and the sound effects are a wonderful addition

I’ve listened to this series at least 4 times and plan to again and again and again…

It was a decent story but it got a bit convoluted towards the end. The ending irritated me a bit when the one girl threw everyone under the bus because she was upset about her change.

To say this book was amazing would be sweeping it under the rug. the story was a bit interesting but nothing novel. Also, the characters were a bit flat. I liked it enough that I’d like to see what happens next. I hope the writing style will mature more in the future installations.

Fun and interesting. One of the best rpg lit book I’ve read. Can’t wait till the next book comes out. also the audiobook is very very good.
