I’ll start by warning you that most of this book is laying out foundations for the future books, but it’s totally worth it! The magic system is incredibly unique, and the MC is relatable, stubborn, relatively intelligent, and not underpowered. Think of the MC like the shield hero guy, that might be the closest anime..
This installment begins to expand on what the first book introduced. Here’s what to expect:– More Gear– Mounts– Dungeon creativity– A master and apprentice dynamic between Tira and the newcomer-Drama-A nod to attack on titan which was fun. Overall I’m happy with the pacing and direction the story is going. Time will tell where we..
The main character never develops — sure his STATS develop, but he doesn’t learn any lessons, he never really faces any serious challenges, he develops relationships with no one, not even his pet ape “Tiny”. Awesome performance. Loved the storyline & it was just enough to keep me wanting more. Dang it Arran! Not going to say anymore…
