This is a very good story. It’s well thought out and has good depth. The characters are decently created and developed. The main problem I had was the actor that played the main characters voice. He sounds like a 10 year old. It detracts from the quality of listen.

I love this series and I loved this installment, but can I say that hearing Donut sing that song in the end credits on the audiobook version actually hit me kind of hard? Like damn. You hear about the trauma and know the characters are going through it, but hearing donut sing that song really..

The story is getting better. There is less tower floors and more world building. I enjoy this change and I look forward to seeing more kingdom management issues and how they are handled.

I love the story to begin with, and as it transitions from individual growth in to the growth of the clan I find it extremely enjoyable. I’m frustrated by the hidden character traits of lerian but I get it’s a plot device.
