I was really looking forward to this book, but compared to the rest it fell rather flat. Unlike previous books where the story either heavily features or revolves around the title, you barely get the smallest glimpse of Mortimer. It’s VERY disappointing, because Mortimer sounds AMAZING!
I don’t usually LOL listening to audio books but did many times with this one . Just try it and fyi…..listen to it until the audio stops to hear Carl grumble at the end .
some of the audio seemed re-recorded and off tone. overall story was enjoyable and voice actors were good. cheesy sound effects did not help.
interesting story, but I found it really hard sometimes to get through the sister’s chapters. fantastic performance from the soundbooth crew.
I’ve listened to a ton of litrpg books this year and Dungeon Crawler Carl has to be my favorite series so far. Jeff Hays and the soundbooth theater team did an amazing job with all three books and I can’t wait for number 4 to be released.
The book continues strongly and the humor is still there, some cliche stuff and honestly I would not write anything better without them so I can’t complain about those. My only complaint is that these books are so short, I just want more, so respect to the author for the end ad read segment and..
Love these books, love boxy. This book was a little short but still very good and the sound effects were a nice touch. Very shiny, very Tasty, as usual.
