This was a good story. The narrators brought the story to life and it was immersive and touching. Matt did a great job with this work. The main character Oliver grows throughout the story and the side cast don’t really feel like side characters. They feel like real family. I enjoyed how many of the..
The system is interesting, but not as engaging as other lit rpg series. The main character’s primary personality trait is not having one. Throughout the book, it becomes very clear the amount the author seriously dislikes women in general. It is the fast food of reading at best.
I gotta be honest, 5 books in and not only can I say I enjoy the writing of Dinniman but Sound Booth theater and Jeff Hays are fantastic. I think I’ve finally succumb to making sure the next things I listen to are by their production studio even if I’ve not heard of the book..
He tends to get stuck and just makes his characters do stupid things to continue the story. At which point, you have to pretend you don’t know its happening. Or suspend your own reality. Especially, in the very long battles. Where so much is going on even the writer gets lost. Sometimes it is like..
Solid short story! I really liked the premise. Would definitely recommend it to others. This is jot in the same crazy vain as DCC but still a great story.
The Butcher’s Masquerade by Matt Dinniman I genuinely do not understand how this series keeps getting better. Most long series start strong, peak around book two or three, and then… plateau. Not this one. Every single book somehow escalates the stakes, the scale, the politics, and the emotional gut punches. The Butcher’s Masquerade is another..
This series has become my new personality. I’ve never laughed so hard while listening to something. You will absolutely not regret listening to this book. The author and narrator are brilliant.
Princess Doughnut is my princess, I will do anything for her. While I wasn’t loving this one as much as DCC1 I was enjoying it still! I am really looking forward to 3 ’cause I have a feeling a lot of the characters we have just met are going to play a vital role in..
An awesome story with great characters, funny moments, and epic battles. The narrator, Jeff Hays, did a fantastic job doing different voices for each character and was very immersive throughout the whole book. NEW ACHIEVEMENT: You have read a review. REWARD: You are ever so slightly more intelligent from actually reading something instead of listening..
