Like Book 1, an enjoyable story if one can accept the many, many, many escapes when facing overwhelming odds and lots of goofy dialogue.

characters are interesting and well written. plot is amusing and keeps you engaged. and the performance of the audio cast is top shelf. seriously everyone that has something to do with this series is amazing!! do yourself a favor and pick these books up!

Really enjoyed this one. Great story that kept a good pace. Stays pretty true to the genre.
The story can be summarized thusly: Main character is a top tier gamer in his game. Like every VMMORPG main character gets stuck in VR world. Main character is given overpowered abilities every five-ish chapters and uses them poorly. Combat is slow and unintuitive. Information written into the book is forgotten by MC almost immediately..
I wished I’d started these sooner. I love the story and the system. I’m invested in Carl and Donut. My only complaint is the excessive use of GD Donut. I get it. It’s his catch-phrase.Still, I wish the author’d gone with Dammit Donut instead. It bothered me enough to drop a star but not enough..

Loved the book wish it hadn’t been dropped. The world building was slightly lacking but the power system and characters made up for it.
love these stories it’s like playing D&D by yourself. narration is incredible. only complaint is this title felt short.
Hope to see this adapted into a movie in my lifetime. Joel Kinneman would make an excellent Carl.
