Best voice acting and sound effects of any audio book I’ve ever listened to. Hilarious and fast pace story.
Drug Dealer, Bully, Miscreant, Career Criminal, and Irresponsible Hoodlum…but I wasn’t expecting the Memoirs of Mother Teresa, so in this PC, toe-the-line world of virtue signaling Sheeple I enjoyed it…But for the narration. What did the one reviewer say? “Good book ruined by Muppet voices.” Isn’t that the truth. Who came up with Jeff Hays..
If you’ve made it this far why are you even reading reviews. You know you want to see what fucked up shit Karl and Donut are getting into. But be warned, there’s a surprising amount of really good character development and some not completely messed up exchanges. It’s almost like the author is trying to..
I bought this book for two reasons, the summary seemed interesting and I needed a new author’s stuff to listen to. I picked correctly, this book was/ is great…. joy, sadness, action (the kewl RPG that I like) enjoyable characters, hateful villains…. really, everything a good series needs. Onward to the next book for me.
This was another stellar book in a fantastic series. Just get it. It’s fun, salacious, action packed, and a great look at human foibles. I can’t wait for the next one.
Absolutely a load of fun to listen to. This and Wandering Inn are the only two audiobooks in this genre I’ve ever listen to and didn’t have a desire to read the book myself anyway afterwards. Absolutely purchasing the next book in the series.
Disclaimer, these books will make you addicted to the series and you will go and you will get the rest. I originally thought after listening to a 31 audiobook I wouldn’t want to listen anymore. Well the exact opposite happened, great series and very well written and the narrator was great. 1000% would recommend this..
This is such a premium series. I’m glad I took the chance on Morningwood. After this book, I have a good feeling I’ll be downloading the next four.
Holy sh*t. What an ending to a great scifi/fantasy story. Wonderful narration, of course, as always. If you enjoy the genre, dive into this trilogy and don’t focus on nitpicking, just enjoy the twists and turns of the ride. Was well worth the ticket for me.
