This book is amazing. If I could give Jeff Hays 10 stars instead of 5, I would. Possibly the best narration I have ever heard and I have read hundreds of audio books. His performance so so clearly exactly what the author intended and it blew me away. If you are even a litte on..
Jeff delivers another banger of a performance. I loved the finale of the book and the banter between vic and oren is always good. the system messages voice is the best, when I hear system messages now, if it doesn’t sound like the way he does it, I don’t like it! TW torture.
it was a little iffy in the very beginning of book 1 from how it was using “gamer” lingo but stuck it out here I am just finished all 3. absolutely fantastic.
I should have known. Straight up Reddit neckbeard heaven. If you like dungeon masters and Cheetos, this is the book for you. No thanks.
Guardians of the Galaxy in novel form. Absurd and distastefully marvellous. Middle section was slow. Latter section of book was well done. Characters are developed in a way that is endearing. The sex doll head is a hilarious comic relief I just can’t stop giggling about.
A guy in my John Ringo fan group on FB suggested that we read these books. I got to say it’s nice to have like minded friends to help you find books. I pulled the first book, “Dungeon Crawler Carl” up on audible and was hooked. I burned through the rest that are on audio..
The book was great, and the story followed the rest of the series as well, but it feels like half a book. I feel a bit jipped paying full price for half a book.
I really appreciated the change of pace with a Boxy-focused story instead of the cat girl alter ego. This felt like a refreshing return to its roots.
