The voice acting is great as always. The story continues to get more complex and it keeps you guessing on what will happen next. More characters keep getting introduced and it takes a second to remember who everyone is. Overall, great addition to the series.
I can definitely see why people love this book—if this is your kind of story. Unfortunately, it just didn’t quite land for me. The style and storyline didn’t really click with my personal taste. That said, the writing is very unique, and it seems to work well for the genre. I also have to admit..
This series is absolutely amazing! When I read fantasy I enjoy some of the tropes but find that the story normally takes a while to get going, DCC is just the opposite. The story is set up very well in the prologue of the first book and then the action commences. Book 2 didn’t disappoint…
The entire book is absolutely brilliant! Big fan of the author, he has another amazing set on his hands with this first book. Such a wonderful book I’m almost mad I found it so early on and have to wait for the next.
This is a fun, if flawed, listen. If I were reading this on paper, I would have likely considered it an okay book. Baldree’s excellent narration, though, will likely ensure that this falls into my replay list multiple times. If you like realistic sci-fi, I’d recommend giving it a shot. Consistent with his Dungeon Crawler..
Loved it will listen to it again these guys are great. Great characters. The narrator is fantastic as always.
Felt like I was playing FF3 for the first time all over again with heaping pile of comedy, satire and pure fun. Jeff hays is in the top 5 of voice actors. My god
This book is extremely slow for the first half and almost lost me a few times. Once you reach the halfway point it really picks up and keeps picking up until the very end.
ive said alot about this series so far. but here is something I can add. ive read series that I start off loving and by the 4th or 5th book its as tho the author has lost the rhythm. there isnt any more consistency. or they are just writting now for the check. not this..
