was thoroughly surprised at the enjoyability of this funny yet dark humored novel of great fun and pure pleasure to listen to.
Normally this genre wouldn’t be something I’d dive into, but I decided to say the hell with it and give it a shot. And I’m glad I did, because now I’m addicted to this series. Dammit Donut, I need more!

This was a great book. I enjoyed the”normal old guy” MC perspective. He isn’t an ex military, martial arts expert, or super genius. He’s just an old gamer looking for a new challenge. That villain though… I don’t remember the last time I was so invested in seeing someone get what was coming to them…

The writing felt juvenile in the narration amplified that feeling. Maybe with a different narrator it would have worked.
I was stuck on every word read this book is absolutely amazing and I’m am so excited for the next book in this series
Silence of the Lambs because it’s a meatsuit wearing a meatsuit. 9/10 loved the series. slower start, long series, solid ending.
