They story is great, and Jeff Hays is the best narrator in the business. But I had to give up on this series after book two since I can’t handle the sound effect. Please stop with the sound effects.
great story, didn’t like how short it was though, there could be so much more to it.
Jeff Hays is one of my top three favorite narrators but I absolutely cannot stand the fact that he continuously uses chewing noises in this series. the series is creative and fun with these last two books have been hard to listen to.

he has zero chances of living. he refuses to allow it to grow. he rather go with a lvl 9 weapon for life even if he gets to 60. he still be stuck with a lvl 9 weapon. he is to stupid to live

The narrator is probably one of the most talented VAs I have ever heard, and I listen to a ton of audiobooks books! The story is one of the most wild and fun experiences I have had pretty much ever!
Aliens, a guy barefoot, magical item, a talking cat, and an AI with a foot fedish. and those aren’t skimming the surface of the plot of this book series.

Interesting story, feels like listening to an RPG. It made me want to replay slay the spire again.
