If this book were an album, it would have been a punk/death metal crossover, with sprinkles of No Means No and Mr. Bungle thrown on top of it. I hadn’t read anything this hilarious since The Philosophical Strangler, by Eric Flint. It melted my face and gave me a hard on at the same time…
this is really good audiobook at the whole thing. the whole series is just amazing. I love it but the author needs to finish the story. I mean I’ve been waiting for a while for the end of this and still haven’t had my happy ending. Even if it is a couple of books out..
Then again, if your looking at this review of book 3 of dungeon crawler carl, you already know this. Keep it up Matt and Jeff! We love you guys!
Wow, I was looking for something new to read… I asked some friends saying I wanted edge of the seat excitement, well written and with lots of snark. This is it. This series is my new obsession.
I don’t get attached to characters often, but this series has me emotionally involved to a level I didn’t think I could be while listening. This series is witty, fun, and very engaging. I can’t say enough good things.
It was nice to hear The Critical Drinker as a subscriber to his YouTube channel. Needs to work a bit on delivery and emoting, however.
I definitely enjoyed the books better before the background music. “hobbnobbing” was a good balanced of sound effects and story but this book they went overboard with the soundtrack.
A lot of time wasted on internal dialog during what should be a fast paced fight. Predictable events being drawn out longer than they need to be. Characters just hesitate to the detriment of their friends/family.
