I picked this up because of the “Fantasy but make it sci-fi” description, and it sounded like fun. I love the performances of the main characters, and I think they’re written as a compelling duo, and I was also surprised that there’s a lot more to dig into from sophisticated game systems to intergalactic politics…

This book was fun and intriguing man and mimic becoming one can be. It has good explanation and it was cool to hear Jeff Hayes as another mimic.
Watching the updates on the SBT Discord of Jeff working on this got me all hyped and it was even better when I woke up to it on my homepage. what else is there to say it’s time for the demon strata arc and oh boy are we in for a treat I can’t wait..

I enjoyed the story very much. Watching the characters come together showing honor as it should be, and dishonor as it shouldn’t be, was great. I’m disappointed that book 2 isn’t in audible, because it’s rare to find such good, clean fun.
