Review from The Gate of the Feral Gods →
amazing performance, good story without the repetitive stat sheets. i would have liked it if it wasn’t constantly last sec saves.
trying to wrap my head around all the train maps was a bit rough. I had to listen a few times to make sure I understood what exactly was going on. other than that good read
Very entertaining. The are some very novel LitRPG elements. Some of the other negative reviews don’t do it complete justice.
The attention to detail in the narration is incredible. We hear weapons flying, magic flairing, and the cackles in an immersive experience that really brings the book to life.
Conclusion to a story that has stretched out for 6 books but could have been told in 4 if the extraneous tangents had been left out. All in all a good series, even if it is a bit predictable.
This is a very pleasing and excellent story to listen to. I love the characters, kingdoms and story line. However, the female characters are extremely flat and one demential. They are extremely annoying. That being said, the rest of the characters and story line make up for the women as, thankfully, they are not main..
I couldn’t find myself getting interested in the characters or story. There didn’t seem to be any ryme or reason to the actions. Made it 6 chapters in before setting it down for good.
MCs sister is a psycho whiney bia. Most of the MCs problems seem to come from stupid actions made by those who support him.
Great book for a dungeon core novel. Especially seeing the point of view of a good darkness affinity dungeon. Usually those tend to be extremely evil in most core novels but seeing this also made me wonder what other dungeon core novels can be like if they focus on one affinity instead of usually having..
