Not a bad book but it just didn’t capture me like most do. It picked up at the end so I may give the next one a try, if it is a little longer. Not much bang for your buck in a 12 hour book.
Short but somehow also slow.

So much more YA romance than her other books. The dialogue was contrived and descriptions were often clichéd. There were at least a dozen references to Katie’s curvaceous body/breasts filling out her flight suit etc in the first section of the book. Quite an obsession. The narrator did an excellent job despite dialogue that often..
Just noticed most of the characters are female. Does not feel like a chick book though, just feels natural. Obsessed with this series
Alright, Demon debauchery aside, liked the book a lot as a whole. Author was gross to an eye rolling degree in the first, less so in this one. Hopefully they’ll tone it down even more in the next.
It was okay, I wish it had more fighting, but it was pretty good, the story line it kind of dragged in some spots
great audiobook that doesnt take anything too serious. was a fun listen and ended up listening 3 times in a couple days. excited to move to book 2!
Really enjoyed the book. I love how there are different aspects of the world. I really enjoyed how they changed it up in book 2
This one wasn’t terrible but it did lack the fun of the first. Lady C’s voice got even more whiney for some reason and having Mirror show up made me physically cringe. But that’s because I hate her as a character. Otherwise it felt like the entire book was the first chapter being repeated in..
The political agenda gets crammed down your throat in book two. I’ve noticed a incidious trend in litrpg books lately where they all seem like they are ghost written by the same group or person. The first book in the series usually is pretty good, sticking to the fantasy genre, then in the sequel the..
Story was going fairly well when the author became an activist instead of a story teller and insisted on jamming gay politics down your throat… in a fantasy story…. it’s like all these recent litrpg books are ghost written by the same person. The first book is aways fairly normal and well written and the..
