I’m fully obsessed with this series, but this one was a slog to get through. All the overly complicated logistics and portals and station numbers and mob mechanics were just too much, and it felt like they didn’t even add that much to the overall story. All that exposition about the mirrored underside and we..
Loved how this book still took the sci-fi themes of Dinninan’s more well known work but took it in its own direction. The people who say that the characters are lacking depth are missing the point of the story. The story was just long enough to tell a completed story without feeling rushed or leaving..
This wasn’t what I was expecting but I loved it. It’s a great story. It’s one of those stories where you wish for a happy ending for everyone,
I am sure this would probably be a good story, but I stopped listening due to all the foul language.
Feels kinda like dungeon crawler Carl and expeditionary force had a baby. If the ai was a bit more of an ass the paternity would not be questionable.
Takes a while to get going, but that’s the most amazing third act I’ve read since The Butcher’s Masquerade. Absolutely wild. Also a fun inversion of LitRPG themes.
I’m glad I didn’t DNF (I thought about it). It was a little slow in the beginning, but I throughly enjoyed the story.
Great performance. All characters carry the same tones and mannerisms through the series. The books so far give some much to listen to and day dream about.
