I enjoyed the book, the charaxters were charming, the lingo familiar, and the descriptions of the various monsters were fun. Jeff Hays is always awesome. Introspection and inner monologue is fine. It gives the listener a peak on the MC’s mindset, thought process and tactics. MC kept digressing and just talking too long especially during in the heat of combat. It really took me out. Some of the dialogue was witty and funny and worldbuilding..
