The problems with this story is it’s to formulaic with the main character which is insufferable. Pair that with odd pacing thanks to unneeded flashbacks. I’m going to skip any other books in this if they come out and avoid this particular author
This series is absurd and if you’ve made it to book 6 you know this. I found book 6 to be my favorite so far. I’ve seen some comments online saying the series lacks character development and I flat out disagree.. this book had me choked up at different moments and seeing the crawlers come..
This entire series is truly incredible. First book got me hooked and I’ve already gotten through book 6 I can’t want for book 8

I purchased the entire set including pre-ordering the next release after finishing this book in 4 days. The attention to detail and the quick humor has me hooked.

I can see how some people would really like this book but to me it was kinda boring
Though I found the story slightly longer than it needed to be, overall it is interesting and funny. SPOILER: while I get this is book one of a series, the ending for me felt a little anticlimactic and could’ve ended much earlier than it did. I’m a huge fan of the series but there were just too many story lines going on for it to be perfect. Still a fun, compelling narrative just not as much to my taste as some of the earlier books in the series.
