The book was very entertaining. It was a bit slow in a few places, but definitely worth a credit.
great for lit rpg
Review from Life Reset: A LitRPG Novel →
Took me a little while to get into it, probably mostly due to my lack of experience with the LitRPG genre. Once I got into it I loved it. Love the narrator also. While it is probably a faux pas to mix books in reviews but I kept expecting the hunter goblin to yell “Pancakes!!”.
Finishing book 3, I was amazed how much depth the characters got, even the damn cat. The story also gets insanely complex by book 3, encompassing the universe and thousands of years of history and intrigue. This series should not be underestimated. I cannot wait for the rest of the series.
I enjoyed most of this series. Sometimes the economy growing would get a bit boring but still the rest was fun and endearing. Happy I listen to it all.
I’ve read dozens of LITRPG’s and this is seriously one of the best, funniest and most well written and narrated I’ve ever heard. Just buy this Series!
A very interesting lit RPG that leaves you wondering just a bit about existential validity and seems entirely too possible in our future. unlike many other “zapped” into another world type titles, this title series takes a much more likely approach where a ghost in the machine may have an agenda spawned by the AI..
I can suspend my belief pretty well.. I mean, I’m listening to a book about people living in VR with dragons. With that being said there are still things in this book that make you scratch your head and say “wtf”. Kinda lazy plot pushers sprinkled in to drive the story in a certain direction…
This is one of the first books I’ve read where the protagonist thinks/speaks like a normal person. Fantastic character development and plenty of twists and surprises. Highly recommended.
