Thoroughly enjoyed this novella, but it’s not book 1.5, if anything, it’s 0.5 or 0.25. It takes place long before book 1. If continuity isn’t an issue for you, then you won’t mind.

This book spans a course of what… 3 days? I get you need to make a backstory, but really? Super slow. Narration definitely held this book together. without it I would dropped this book within the first 2 hours.
Not one of Ken Lozitos best books. Interesting enough to finish but perhaps not good enough to continue the series.Zach felt very much like a Stan Stu and the character interaction felt a little juvenile. I prefer First Colony. by a long shot
Just finished the book and I’ll tell you what this book has been really amazing with all the sound effects and all the Amazing of adventures that happened throughout the book It has been one of the best books that I have listened to
I really liked book one, but book two just seemed off. The narrator is often describing people and food with a very soft tone while there’s an apocalypse going on in the background. I still liked this book, but a heavily accented Englishman that loves drawing out the word “chocolate” just didn’t match well.
no spoilers. table top rpg ppl…was I right? not too deep. not too sexy. way too fun. try the next one in the series. who am I telling, you probably already are.
no spoilers. fun way for table top rpg ppl to get in to litrpg books. nothing too deep. nothing too sexy. but everything too funny. start here and you’ll be hooked in to the rest of the series.
