The first few books felt a bit rushed but now it feels better paced and soundbooth has put more effort into it.

Fun but rushed

it feels like the story is rushed without giving you time to feel for the characters whenever something dramatic happens to them. it just goes “here is problem”, then “solution to problem and everyone is happy”. The over arching story is interesting and the performance is good so I will continue with the series.
The female lead is incredibly talented. The male is good too. Together they make up for the YA flavor of the story. It’s a good way to blow some hours. I don’t need to chase down a sequel.
Jeff Hays does an excellent job narrating as per usual, and Matt Dinniman creates a book I didn’t want to stop listening to! I look forward to the next installment, and I’m really curious where the two will end up.
