The story is amazing but after listening to the first one and following up with this one it’s lackluster. The story however is amazing. It’s so good I was willing to ignore the ehh narration. This book basically covers Melody’s family history and of course the side characters were needed and I enjoyed them all.
I have to blame the writer for terrible decisions made by the protagonists. Why when MC’s are put on new planets do they insist on cultures and traditions from their homeland? Does the writer try to enforce American morals when he travels thru Europe or China? The MCs are on a D&Dish world and cannot..

Suddenly a new character that distracts and confuses. stop the skipping and jumping in the stories crafting. that is beautiful when artistically done, but not for adding a whole new character that is suddenly important to the story and seems really forced.

I got into William D Arand by chance when looking for something new and started with the Swing Shift series, which eventually tied into SSoSH. Great story, and excellent production & performance!
This book is wrought with contradiction and terrible sound effects. I had to return it after only a few hours of listening to it. I’d recommend stopping at the first 3 books.

Another riveting tome containing the exploits of 1 very peculiar box.If you have enjoyed the series thus far, I see no reason you wouldn’t love this.If you like D&D, wizards, magic and creatures and you are not an uptight prude, I’d recommend this series highly!
