As an avid fantasy fan, this book scratched an itch I didn’t know I had.

I loved this book it was full of fun and funny moments! I love the tech and the idea and the story! Wish a little more of the years could of been shared with us!!

I like the story, but it goes WAY out of its way to be chauvinistic. No need or point in adding cringy descriptions of every female character. And having the narrator off-handedly say EVERY female caster has something mentally off about them.

I liked the other 3 books in the series, but they had some aspects I wasn’t too keen on. Mainly the gratuitous sexual violence. Even though some of those themes are still present, it felt a bit more ummm… consensual-ish? I’m still a little on the fence about a “15 year old” being so sexually..

A few predictable trends that might not have been necessary but quickly picked up and kept me entertained the whole while. Towards the end some more original aspects of litrpg and dungeon core novels came out. Unique element of affinity and a potentially cool new class type for book two. Will be awaiting book 2!

does this technically count as spoilers for the aftermath of War aeternus before its even written? I mean, now we know that Lee apparently survives to establish a church in the real world.

Really enjoyed this book. Maybe even more than book one. My only issue is with the female voices. Occasionally it was like nails on a chalkboard. However, still was an entertaining listen.

Edward Castle has been able to mix a dynamic cast of characters into a story that allows a view into a world that’s morally gray, and deeply compelling!
