It feels like a rare thing for authors to maintain the quality of their work from book to book in a series and I’m pleased to say that this gem shines as brightly as the first two installments! Bravo to Shami and the wonderful Soundbooth Theater cast for delivering! And I won’t lie, it’s RARE..
Engaging book and incredible audio book experience. Highly recommend if looking for an immersive litrpg experience.
It’s definitely interesting. A lot of the MC’s childish and immature behavior comes from a place of trauma (on top of an absolutely insane childhood). My favorite parts were when he didn’t just act like a (sometimes) helpful, immature, misogynistic, gaming man-child. In this book, he flip-flops between that and someone who is definitely antagonistic..
I loved this audiobook experience. I am a princess donut fanboy! I cannot wait to jump into the next book in the series!!
Great development of the characters we know while being introduced to great new (or potential) baddies. Amazing narration By Annie Elliot and the Soundbooth team brought the story to life in my ears. Can’t wait for the next one!
Pros+ narrator was excellent+ the story, while not unique amount litrpgs, was decently written. + action was written fairly well Cons– the two main characters weren’t very likeable. Henry was okay in the beginning, but felt like he was far too abrasive in the middle and later on the book. Not the good kind of..
felt like the author has big plans but needed to find a quick way to get there and this book is basically setting up the plot of the next 3 books (at least).it’s not bad, just nowhere near the first two books
