It was like Chuck Norris but for RPG. I was engaged for the entire story. The ending left me quite curious as to what the characters will do next so I will get the next audiobook when it becomes available.
I love Matt’s writing. Not only does this book help tie in alot with all the big names from the cook book having their own little chapters but it also has amazing writing you fall in love with the characters and the story, and Jeff does such a good job narrating the story. Its truly..

My man Carl, this guy has no idea what’s coming till he does. This is the funniest book I’ve read this year. Carl and his side kick Donut the talking cat. The guy that does Carl has him down to a T, he is Carl. Great read and look forward to the next one.

This was such a great start to a series. It’s a unique take on a system type LitRPG, which is done incredibly well. MC and supporting cast are great, as well as likable, not too OP to be boring, and enough flaws to feel real. Finally, the audio cast absolutely crushed it.
