Love the series so far! my only complaint is the volume difference between the main character an Vick. Vick is nearly shouted at us but the main narration is very calmly spoken.
It is difficult to not spoil the story and still convey the sheer madness contained in this book. The authors references are perfectly captured and presented by the narrator. Laughing while crying and cheering is an odd situation for the listener to experience. Great book!
If LitRPG is your thing but endless re-reading of stat sheets makes you want to scream, this is the book for you. i appreciate that the autbor avoids a lot of over-used tropes (like some secret, initially weak but later overpowered class choice) but kept some familiar ones, like a snarky AI. This was highly..
Excellent ending to the series. Many more twists and turns, some expected, some unexpected. Jeff Hays gave another extraordinary performance, voicing all the characters. He is fast becoming one of my favorite voice actors.
As others have noted, this book is more like the original in its style and stakes. It’s great to see how the characters flex their growing abilities and work together against the big bad. It is an entirely different style though, almost a different game. If before it was PvE then PvP; now it’s more..
This entire series has been the best 3 audio books I have listened to, which is nearing 50 books. The best part of the story telling is how it never forgets what has happened, and every little detail given has significance. This is the best written lit rpg out there in my opinion
Not much story here, as it is mostly a just laying the ground work for the next series of books. I almost wish I had stopped at book 3. Book 4 doesn’t leave you feeling like you have done anything more then read the prelude for the next book, like the author needed to get..
i forced myself to finish the book, just in case something exciting happened to redeem the book. it’s not really fantasy, sci-fi, space opera, action, adventure or romance. it can best be described as a road trip book, with video game mechanics.
Liked both books!! can’t wait till the third.I enjoy the narrator he does a fantastic job.I usually don’t like soundbooth bc they put in too many background noises for me. These books however have just enough that it enhances rather than takes away from the story.I recommend if you want constant adventure, enjoyable repertoire and..
