mild-low fowl language small amounts of LBTGno religious bigotry no sexual bigotry. a good book series on a elderly man who’s trying to escape the anniversary of his wife’s passing ends up in an adventure of a lifetime. by the end of the book series it feels like you made a new friend.

Normally this genre wouldn’t be something I’d dive into, but I decided to say the hell with it and give it a shot. And I’m glad I did, because now I’m addicted to this series. Dammit Donut, I need more!

This was a great book. I enjoyed the”normal old guy” MC perspective. He isn’t an ex military, martial arts expert, or super genius. He’s just an old gamer looking for a new challenge. That villain though… I don’t remember the last time I was so invested in seeing someone get what was coming to them…
