Overall i was immersed in the story… right up until stats were being read aloud. With the stats, some worse than others, my eyes glazed over and i was immediately thinking about something else.

This one is very different than the previous books. It feels like our morbid monster troupe have grown into more divinely heartfelt beings. The story just wasn’t what I was expecting after the end of the second book. Then this one goes and ends when the story is finally coming around. Horrible way to end this book and make the readers wait for the next one.

This book is a lot like Ritualist by Dakota Krout. I highly recommend it. Someone gets uploaded to a VR world controlled by an AI. It’s read with different voices making it easier to follow.

All four stories in this series are great fun. However using soundbooth theater really pushed the performance to the greatest height yet. I have no doubt if you liked the first three books you will like this one also. I can’t wait for the continuation of the story in the next book.
