Honestly the writing is entertaining and great, but the narrator really knocks it out of the park. If you’re into any RPG stuff, start with part 1 and you’ll find yourself here in record time.

It had some interesting concepts but the characters were very one dimensional. And the author liked to remind you of what it was for each main character. I think a lot more could of been done with create abilities but the years of mastering the ability before using it made everyone have a few moves..

For anyone that enjoys gaming, (video, table-top or otherwise) and a good read this was a fantastic story. The journey through the book was not bogged down by the incorporation of game mechanics and explanations, it only added to the appeal. It was a fluid story that makes for a great experience.
I loved the book. All the different voice actors really puts you right in the thick of it
