great story, great presentation, can’t wait for the next one.hopefully we will hear more from Sam.

A gruesome and bloody story where tragedy is quickly overshadowed by loot. if you can look past the insanity grim gamified scenario and the main character being handed things to easy, then its an enjoyable listen.

It seems like a book was broken into 2 short books.The books are good, but they should be 12 hours long at a minimum.

I really enjoyed this book set. It is not my typical listening, but it was fun.

Hugo has a good story with lovable characters. I always enjoy hearing Jeff and Annie bring these characters to life with their amazing range of voices.

I loved this book. What started as a stock gamelit novel turned into a wild ride with awesome characters and brilliant story telling. I would call this a page turner if not for it being audio.

this book was fantastic. it was captivating from the very beginning to the very end. it showed how a villain can be portrayed and shines a light on how a normal person can be it’s psychopath. I am really looking forward to book 2.

I’ve been waiting for this to drop forever now and I’m so glad that I did. The story continues the dark one makes more heinous plans and Alexander and company do everything they can to become more powerful and to right the wrongs of the dark one and his minions.

The villain was excellent; however, I don’t feel like the main characters had much development after a certain point towards the beginning of the book. I enjoyed the book still and would recommend it.
