always like Jeff Hays performances. one of the best Rpglit books I’ve read, nice world concept, looking forward to the next book in the series

Fantastic character development. Awesome story. The team that does the voices for the audible book are wonderful to listen to.

Awesome book with great writing, well thought out and fleshed out characters, and a great ending. Definitely left me wanting to get the next one. Jeff Hays(narrator) was great as always and he just keeps getting better with each book he reads. I honestly can’t think of a single bad thing to say.

If this wasn’t supposed to be LitRPG then I would have rated the story higher, but it was very light on game mechanics, and things like hp & mp not self regenerating made for awkward game mechanics that never seamed to be explained. I liked it but mostly seemed to be easy mode. Things came pretty easily. abandoned cities with important landmarks unlooted? Unlikely in the extreme. I enjoyed most of the gamer jokes. Overall, not unhappy instead it but hoping for more in the follow up.

This was an amazing book, I couldn’t stop listening to it. Besides being well written and preformed, it had a great story line with a great mix of characters. It was not typical post apocalypse narrative, being a litrpg style book. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next one!

The audiobook production quality on this is pretty good and there are a handful of interesting concepts marred by poor writing and storytelling.
